Love this place! I'm so happy to have stumbled on it. My mom and I tried the Señor Pavo - one as a sandwich, one as a quinoa bowl - and both loved it. The french fries were delicious. We'll definitely be back!

If you haven't tried Mouthful Eatery Mouthful Eateryet, make it a priority in 2025! We had the Chicken Saltado and the steak bowl, and both were bursting with flavor--absolutely delicious. The seasonal pumpkin bread pudding was AMAZING, as well! (Thank you Luis!) This spot is a definite must-visit for the new year!

Hands down...one of my favorite spots to eat, on a regular basis. The service, the food, the flavor! The flavor OR sabor...is what this place is all about! The bread used for the sandwiches is freshly made each morning. It's hard not to go with a sandwich because of the bread. Yet, I eat there so often that I've tried the bowl and dinner plates. I'm a FAN of everything. I've even learned that you can do a bowl and go "half and half" with the sides. I like doing half salad and half quinoa with the bowls. The Turkey Meatball is my favorite. The mix of flavors and texture is perfection. Add the green hot sauce...but don't get it confused with Wasabi. This sauce has a kick! The Fish Plate is another favorite, I enjoy the coleslaw mix and peanuts. The Steak is quality meat...but a little too heavy for my liking as it comes with steak size french fries. Its a classic though! Everyone I bring usually orders that dish for their first time. Their faces say it all, a mouthful of deliciousness! Last but not least, I can't forget about the Chicken Cesar Wrap! Add a fried egg to it! Trust me...delicious! Don't leave and not try their homemade Flan or Caramel cookies. Wash everything down with a Peruvian beer or grab some wine from their selection. Mouthful, I wish you had more locations! :D

I am reviewing Mouthful Eatery again after many years (I think 10 years). This place has been a Yelp favorite in the past and has remained so consistent over the years. They have expanded so much (most people probably don't remember how small they were), and Thousand Oaks Boulevard has evolved (though not enough). They have added a dinner menu, evening events, and really become a local favorite. But really, they still excel as a top-notch lunch joint. The interior decor is fun and inviting, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. The service is great, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. You might even run into Chef Luis Sanchez, which is always a treat. It is pretty hard to select from all their great choices, but I have started going for the bowls. This week, I went for the La Sarita. I am often conflicted between this and the Crispy Pork, and it did not disappoint. This is truly a gem, and I am told their holiday catering is also something special. Anyone in Thousand Oaks at lunchtime should eat here.

Coworker recommended this place as a lunch take-out option one day. Uber Eats the Lomo Saltado Plate. The meat was cooked perfectly with amazing sauce and seasoning, and the fries really added to the dish (instead of just being there as an afterthought). Great mac-and-cheese as well. Have also eaten there in person, and the food is just as good. Always a plus when the food is just as good delivered as you would get in person. Great service.

Lomo. Saltado. All. Day. Every. Day. If you enjoy Peruvian food- this is the place to be. When we are in town this is one of the go to places I enjoy eating at. The service is friendly and attentive. The food prep is fairly quick. And of course the food is delicious. We ordered a side of plantains which were hot, fresh, and crispy. We also ordered two desserts: the raspberry tiramisu was delicious, but I didn't really taste the coffee-ness part of the tiramisu, it tasted more like vanilla cake with whipped cream and raspberries on top. The coconut flan was soft and creamy deliciousness. Thank you for the wonderful meal and service!

After hearing so many rave reviews about Mouthful Eatery, I knew I had to finally make it over and give it a try. Their food definitely lives up to all the hype. Their Lomo Saltado Plate has a generous tasty, perfectly cooked meat combined with delicious sautéed tomatoes and onions and fries. A great dinner to leave you happy and satisfied. Definitely order the Mac and cheese. It is so hearty, cheesy, and delicious. I ordered a small as a side, but it could also easily be a meal. Plenty of open seating inside. A little pricier, but totally worth it. Good stop for some tasty lunch or dinner.

We were looking for a quick bite before a round of golf. We tried Mouthful Eatery and I was so impressed. I do love family owned businesses and the owner was there on the floor making everything work. My compliments!! You order at the counter and you get a number and pick your table. Sandwiches are Peruvian leaning and the combos are interesting and delicious. The Owner is the Chef and offers on line cooking classes. This is a quaint restaurant with an easy laid back vibe. To this day I believe an excellent lunch helped my golf game I highly recommend Mouthful Eatery!! Delicious
